Sam Bailey is currently a teacher at Beckman High School.

Bailey is no stranger to success.  As Head Coach at Corona del Mar High School, his teams (boys and girls) never finished worse than the semifinals in CIF Division I Water Polo, and once won the CIF Division I Championship.  More importantly, Bailey's student-athletes have gone on to study and compete at outstanding universities nationwide: Harvard, UCLA, Cal, Stanford, USC, Princeton, Brown, BYU, LMU, University of Hawaii, and San Diego State.

Prior to his success at Corona del Mar, Bailey served as Assistant Coach to Adam Krikorian and the UCLA Men's & Women's Water Polo Teams (2007-08), and to John Vargas and the Stanford University Men's Water Polo Team (2005-06).  Bailey was also Head Coach of the Corona del Mar Boys' Water Polo Team (2004-05).  He is also a member of the Southern California Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (2011 inductee).

  • Orange County Coach of the Year, Girls' Water Polo - 2013

  • CIF Division I Coach of the Year, Boys' Water Polo - 2004
